Creative Christmas Tuff Trays and Sensory Tubs!

Christmas is a special time of year where all the family get together, getting all cosy with your feet up, fire on, cracking open your favourite beverage and so much more! This year is going to be a little bit strange; we all know that.
Do not fear we have the thing that will keep you and your children busy during these challenging times.
There are plenty of things to create with Zimpli kids’ products. It is a perfect learning/play activity for them days between Christmas and new year when you don’t know what day it is. The marketing team prepared and collected a few of their favourite creations this year.

Snowman Tuff Tray

​“When creating our magical snowman, we decided to use our amazing Sno range. This included our SnoBall Battle pack and our SnoBall play.”
Simply add the realistic Sno mixture into your water and watch the magic happen. It only takes 2 minutes to fully form!
“Once the Sno was fully formed we started to create the snowman’s body creating 3 sections. One big and medium for the body, including a small one for the head.”
The snowman was missing something… Of course! He needs his hat and scarf so the team decided to give him a red hat and scarf with red Gelli Baff.

“Once he was wrapped up warm in his nice scarf and hat, we needed to add his eyes and nose to finally make him come to life.”

“For this step we used big googly eyes and for the nose we mixed in some yellow Gelli powder with the leftover red to create orange. This prevented waste of the Gelli which helped us create new fun and exciting colours.” ​

Arctic World

​Here is an image of Zimpli Kids arctic world created by the marketing team. Making scenes like this in tuff trays or sensory bowls really helps a little mind grow and learn all about the world and helps their imagination develop.
You could recreate this at home and research different facts about the arctic, helping children to learn while they play.
“We created this sensory tub by first adding lots of Sno to the water inside the tray and once it was formed, we spread it out in the tray evenly. Whilst playing around with our Crackle Baff colours, we decided the blue was the perfect match as it made the most gorgeous
​colour! “
TOP TIP! - Depending on the colour you want, add more water for a lighter shade and less water for a darker shade of blue. 

Now let us get to the fun part!

Once your Crackle Baff has fully crackled and dissolved, pour the Crackle Baff water to one side of the tray, creating a nice icy sea and then add all your animal figures to the mix. The team chose to add animals that live in the arctic! You can teach your little ones all about them too! 

​Sensory tubs are the perfect way for children to play and learn with different textures as they help with fine motor skills, using 4/5 senses such as sight, touch, hearing, and smell!
